What is WISE?
WISE is a network designed to connect artists who work with older people, fostering a community that shares valuable information, opportunities, and resources. The aim is to create a space for mutual support and collaboration in this growing and impactful field.

- The chance to participate in our annual matchmaking event with Nursing Homes Ireland, connecting artists with care homes for potential projects.
- Invitations to bi-annual network meetings, which offer discussions on key topics, expert presentations, and facilitated networking sessions.
- Follow-up resources distributed by Age & Opportunity after each meeting.
How to join the network?

Network Eligbility
To become a member of WISE, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a practicing artist as defined in sign up form.
- Have demonstrated experience working with older people in settings such as:
- Residential or healthcare facilities (nursing homes, hospitals, care centres).
- Community-based organisations (daycare centres, community hospitals, arts organisations).
- Other participatory based work, in community or other group settings, with older people.
- Be actively working within the Republic of Ireland.

Please note that expressions of interest in the network are reviewed before each newsletter, which is sent quarterly. If you are deemed ineligible, you will recieve a notification within a few weeks.
