Age & Opportunity and Nursing Homes Ireland invite interested activity co-ordinators and any staff of which it may be of interest, to attend a free information webinar on 29th January 2025, at 2.30pm.
The purpose of the information webinar is to provide key information on running an activity or event for National Arts in Nursing Homes Day including ideas and tips for devising and planning your event and tips on finding an artist to work with. There will also be handy resources that can be used in organising and advertising the event.

National Arts in Nursing Homes Day Award 2025
The Age & Opportunity and Nursing Homes Ireland National Arts in Nursing Homes Day Award aims to encourage and support access to the arts for the residents of care settings and to support care settings to participate in Bealtaine. The award also aims to demonstrate how the arts can contribute to the overall well-being and care of residents in care settings.
Participation might involve planning a new arts project/initiative/event for their setting and must involve at least one professional artist. An ideal project would consist of a number of artist engagements with residents before a final celebration event.
One award of €1,000 and two awards of €500 will be made to the three successful applicants.
Applications for the award will open on 29th January 2025.
