If you work in a nursing home, day care centre or community hospital, we hope you will consider organising an event for this year’s National Arts in Nursing Homes Day! Age & Opportunity and Nursing Homes Ireland invite activity co-ordinators and any staff which it may be of interest to, to attend a free information webinar on Wednesday 7th February, 2pm-3.30pm.
The purpose of the information webinar is to provide key information on running an activity or event for National Arts in Nursing Homes Day including ideas and tips for devising and planning your event and tips on finding an artist to work with. There will also be handy resources that can be used in organising and advertising the event.
The webinar will also be made available as a recording for those who cannot attend on the day.

Now in its fourth year, National Arts in Nursing Homes Day takes place on the third Friday of May as part of Bealtaine Festival, Ireland’s national celebration of the arts and creativity as we age. It showcases the wonderful but often hidden creative activity taking place with residents and clients of nursing homes and day care centres.
Activities include those that take place in March, April and May, culminating on 17th May, this year’s National Arts in Nursing Homes Day, or the exhibition of work already made in a new or unique way. Family and friends are also encouraged to join the creative celebrations!
