After a successful inaugural year, National Arts in Nursing Homes Day will take place again in 2022 on Friday 20th May.
With the support of our partner Nursing Homes Ireland, we’re encouraging all nursing homes to get involved by hosting their own events celebrating the arts and creativity as we age. Together we launched the inaugural National Arts in Nursing Homes Day Award this year. The three recipients Kiltipper Woods Care Centre (Dublin), Dealgan House Nursing Home (Louth), and Esker Lodge Nursing Home (Cavan) will be presenting their projects on May 20th.

Today we’re delighted to share our Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway: An Introduction to the Arts video which aims to further encourage arts participation in care settings, which you can watch here.
Need some guidance to get involved? Click to download a National Arts in Nursing Homes guidance leaflet that will provide you with information regarding how to participate. There is also a poster you can use to promote your event.
