The Hand Remembers
The Hand Remembers is an exhibition of artwork by artist Mags Duffy. The exhibition is the result of a 12-month project about sharing traditional skills and stories and forging new connections. The artist worked with older members of the community to access knowledge that is held in the hands through making things.
Mags Duffy is a visual artist based in Westport, Co. Mayo. She has a background in experimental textiles and a postgraduate qualification in arts education. She has been involved in teaching and community projects for the past thirty years.
