Event Description
Artist Bennie Reilly talks through her exhibition The Louvre of the Pebble with a focus on her research methods, working process and influences for this show. Reilly’s practice is informed by her interest in museology, history and nature. Her paintings and sculptural works are based on eclectic accumulations of information, imagery and natural artefacts which she curates to allow historic, current and imagined examinations of nature to sit together. Much of her source material is obtained by visiting and documenting museum collections and through beachcombing and flea market scavenging.
