Tune into the Tommy Marren Show on MidWest Radio (96.1fm) at 9:15 am on Thursday 28th May for Mayo County Council Arts Service’s celebration of Poetry Day Ireland 2026 with poets, Christina Hennemann and Mike Absalom who will read some of their poetry on the show.
Poetry Day Ireland is an annual celebration of poetry and creativity across the island of Ireland, coordinated by Poetry Ireland, and will take place this year on Thursday, 28 May 2026. The theme for Poetry Day Ireland 2025 is ‘Home’, a theme that is significant as poetry has a new ‘home’ on the island as Poetry Ireland returns to No. 11 Parnell Square.
