‘If These Hands Could Sing’ – Documentary Viewing Party and Concert
‘If These Hands Could Sing’ was a collaborative project between Hospital Musician/ Singer Songwriter Liam Merriman, and our Residents here in Mooncoin.
Over a number of workshops we discussed the journey of our hands through a life time. We used a number of different reminiscence and sensory techniques to bring back days gone by, stories of lovers, of hands in work, hands in prayer, the hands of our parents, the hands we love and the hands we miss.
We used these memories to create a song, which our Mooncoin Resident Choir filmed along with a number of Resident Interviews under the careful direction of Steven Stubbs and Keith Currams. Our Residents involved have invited their families and we will have a special viewing party followed by a concert for and starring our residents.
