On Wednesday 10th May the Eco Showboat Mayfly will dock at Dromineer Harbour to take part in the Tipperary Bealtaine Festival. You are invited to join us for this wonderful afternoon of workshops, poetry, talks and (of course) some refreshments.
2.30pm Meet Anne & Denis who talk about their two year solar journey on the island’s waterways, show you their studies and observations of nature and tell of their encounters with artists, activists and scientists who explore with them the problems and promises of the freshwater environment. Meet Eleanor Hooker, a writer living in North Tipperary, will read a selection of her poetry and talk to us about some local environmental issues.
Meet artist Aideen Barry who will talk about her work and some of the environmental issues she has discovered since setting up home with her family in North Tipperary. Aideen will also host a special Eco Showboat event at her home on the slopes of the Silvermines on Friday evening May 12th.
4.30pm Join Anne, Denis, Eleanor and Aideen for tea and some locally produced culinary offerings
