The relationship between different generations is often depicted as a battle of will, power and status, or of one-way care-giving between younger and older generations. This discussion, which is chaired by Dublin International Film Festival Director, Grainne Humphreys (pictured), will look at how culture depicts the relationship between different generations and what that says about our value-systems and stereotypes. Panellists include film-maker Ken Wardrop, and author Anne Griffin.
The Bealtaine Discussion Series 2023 is devised and presented in association with Dr. Michaela Schrage-Frueh (School of Languages, Literatures and Cultures) and Dr. Maggie O’Neill (Irish Centre for Social Gerontology) from the University of Galway.
