Bealtaine: Introduction to Printmaking with Marianne Heemskerk
Monday 30th May, 11am.

Printmaking Workshop for older people as part of the Bealtaine Festival

This workshop will introduce printmaking to older people. Participants will – under the guidance of Marianne Heemskerk – be working with techniques of drypoint and carborundum on aluminium plates, and monoprinting; working from their own designs; and experimenting with print techniques and colour. No previous experience required.

Marianne Heemskerk is a locally-based visual artist. Originally from Holland, Marianne has been living in Ireland for many years and has extensive experience in the practice and teaching of printmaking.

She has exhibited widely in Ireland and her work is in a number of public and private collections.

Times: 11am –3pm (with a break for lunch). Materials are included.

Presented as part of Age & Opportunity’s Bealtaine Festival – Ireland’s national celebration of the arts and creativity as we age. Booking for all workshops is essential.
