Age Friendly Tipperary presents “Reminiscing Back in My Day, the Story continues” with a visit to Nenagh Library by Jimmy Duggan who collated and narrated the 2021 first volume of stories in the collection https://www.tipperarycoco.ie/community-and-economic-development/back-my-day. To continue this project Tipperary Age Friendly invites you to visit your library during Bealtaine where Jimmy will conduct an interview in person which will be collated into the new volume of stories which we will launch and showcase during Positive Ageing Week 2022.

Crochet Class with Sandra Coote of Crafts of Ireland
Sandra Coote is based in Co Cavan and runs a business called Crafts of Ireland. Her keen interest in all things heritage and cultural is reflected in every aspect of the business, from growing flax to traditional baking, butter making, Irish lace, wool spinning and other crafts. Through this Bealtaine workshop, she will demonstrate some core crochet skills.

The Drawing Room Opera Company, Liz Ryan and Brendan Collins with David Wray on piano will present a beautifully crafted and very entertaining selection of operatic and musical classics in a unique and humorous manner.

‘The Pauper Priest’ was written and directed by Paul Maher and performed by Liam O Maoldhomhnaigh and Bob Russell telling the story of Fr John Barry (1846-1920) who, after being wronged by his bishop and denied a parish, fell into poverty and destitution.
