With Melissa Shiels, Dress Historian and Historical Clothing-Maker
Tea after the event.
Melissa Shiels will take you through the customs of
a Victorian Afternoon Tea; Melissa will focus on the clothing and daily
activities of middle and upper-class women, what they wore for
social visits and other occasions in the 1860s, and discuss some of the
niceties of taking afternoon tea in the mid-nineteenth century.
